The Cabinet

The Cabinet comprises the Ministers who oversee the various matters of State. Each Minister heads a Ministry and collectively they form the government.

Civic and Corporate

Ministers are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Prince. They may make delegated decisions within their Ministry and the Cabinet as a whole meets to exercise the functions of State as set out in the Constitution.

 

In addition to the traditional branches of government, the Principality owns and operates Crown Holdings Inc., a state‑owned corporation responsible for managing Markonia’s land, infrastructure assets, and commercial enterprises. The revenues generated by Crown Holdings Inc. provide the financial foundation of the State, allowing the Government to operate without levying taxes on the population.

 

Several Ministers therefore hold dual executive roles within the company, ensuring that public policy and commercial operations remain aligned. These corporate appointments are exercised alongside their ministerial duties and reflect the integrated nature of Markonia’s constitutional and economic model.

Minister Warren Dawes

Prime Minister of Markonia and President pro-tempore of the Cabinet

Ministerial Responsibilities:

  • Strategic direction
  • Chairing the Cabinet and co-ordinating the Government
  • Civil Service
  • Communications

 

Executive posts held:

  • Paymaster-General of the Markonian Civil Service

 

Crown Holdings Inc.:

  • Chief Executive Officer.

As both head of government and CEO of the State's commercial arm, the Prime Minister ensures that national policy and corporate strategy remain perfectly aligned.

Minister Turd Furgusson

Minister of Foreign Affairs

Ministerial Responsibilities:

  • Foreign Relations
  • Diplomacy
  • International Trade

 

Crown Holdings Inc.:

  • Chief International Relations Officer.

The Minister overseas Crown Holdings' international partnerships, foreign commercial negociations and manages the corporation's overseas interests

Minister Imogen Hearthwood

Minister of the Interior

Ministerial Responsibilities:

  • Law Enforcement
  • Social Welfare
  • Immigration

 

Crown Holdings Inc.:

  • Chief Civic Officer.

The Minister ensures that Crown Holdings' land, assetsg and infrastructure support the welfare and security of the population.

Minister Percy Tallybourne

Minister of Finance

Ministerial Responsibilities:

  • Exchequer
  • Customs and Excise
  • Internal Revenue

Executive posts held:

  • Chancellor of the Exchequer

 

Crown Holdings Inc.:

  • Chief Financial Officer.

As CFO of the State's commercial enterprise, the Minister oversees the revenue streams that fund the government, ensuring the continuad operation of a proudly tax-free State.

Minister Conrad Steelhaven

Minister of Defence

Marshal (Ret.)

Ministerial Responsibilities:

  • Defence policy
  • Defence budgetting and procurement
  • International Defence Cooperation
  • Intelligence Services
  • Veterans Affairs

 

(The Ministry sets policy and provides funding but does not command military operations.)

Minister Jia Breard-Facee

Minister of Justice

Ministerial Responsibilities:

  • Drafting laws
  • Public prosecutions
  • Corrections
  • Legal advocacy to the government through the Office of the Attorney-General 

 

(The Ministry provides funding but does not manage Courts or appoint Judges.)

 

Crown Holdings Inc.:

  • Chief Legal Officer.

The Minister overseas legal compliance, regulatory standards and corporate governance within Crown Holdings Inc. ensuring that the State's commercial operations remain lawful and accountable.

Minister Rob Bobbard

Minister of Commerce

Ministerial Responsibilities:

  • Commercial and industrial regulation
  • Infrastructure and communication networks
  • Government's corporate business interests

 

Crown Holdings Inc.:

  • Chief Operating Officer.

As COO, the Minister ensures that the State's commercial ventures, instrastructure assets and regulatory frameworks operate in harmony - the beating heart of Markonia's corporate-state model..
