Symbols embody the integrity and dignity of a country and bring pride to its people. Consequently, their use is protected and it is an offence to cause or to allow to be caused by action or inaction the symbols to be misused. The symbols must treated with reverence by all.
Description: A flag of 3:2 ratio consisting of three equal vertical bands of red, white and black, the red is always flown closest to the staff.
Use: The National Flag is the primary symbol of the Markonia and has precedence over all other flags in the territories of Markonia. The National Flag should be given equal prominence in a display alongside foreign flags. The National Flag shall be lowered to half-mast at the direction of the Prince.
Arms:
Per pale Gules, Argent, and Sable; a shield tierced in pale, the dexter field Gules, the sinister field Sable, and the central pale Argent.
Crest:
Upon a royal crown proper, adorned with jewels Azure, Gules, and Argent, a mantling of Gules, Argent, and Sable, doubled of the same, flowing from the crown.
Supporters:
Dexter and sinister, two wolves rampant Or, armed Argent and langued Gules, each supporting the escutcheon with the interior forepaw.
Compartment:
A scroll Gules fimbriated Or, inscribed with the motto “CORONA ET POPULUS MARKONIÆ” in letters Or.
Use:
The Coat of Arms represents the authority of the State and is restricted to use by the Government, it will often be used on official documents and elsewhere. It is an offence to pass-off a document as official without authority.
